Lethologica is the inability to remember the right word.
You tell me that what is in my way
is my way
and so I pull off the road
marveling at this pair
of bald eagles soaring right above me.
Easy, stark against the sky
to track their lingering swoops
even as a jet plane appears
to hang motionless in my rearview
mirror, the base leg
of the approach pattern
as clear as if drawn on a white-
board. Things that have been hidden
emerging in this new
spaciousness, my willing
eyes accepting the layers
of lessons in the gentle teaching
available
at the opening of mystery.
I won’t instigate
the investigation, demanding
answers but I’m curious.
Maybe the words will come.
I’m so happy to say
I don’t know
what any of this means.

So Lethologica, that’s what keeps preventing me from using my worms correctly is it?

That reason was probably on the tip of your tongue!
Now I have to go back and check to see if I wrote “worms”. Nicely played!

I can’t wait to say, wait, what’s the word for not knowing the word…

I’m sorry, I finally saw this! I kept seeing there were two pending comments and couldn’t find which ones they were. Thank you for thinking of me! I don’t participate in awards, though, they make me anxious and add too much stress. I appreciate the kindness in your gesture, though, very much!
