Black or White or

The black and white forest
explodes, mystery swelling to burst
greenly in a perception experiment
you ask me to go back
to let go of this vivid
specificity, love’s precision
informing matter that seemed inert
was it yesterday I walked abstracted
searching for meaning, color leached
white canvas, black lines
horizontal hugging, vertical reaching
for something, not for me,
light in general, disassociated,
unregulated, lone wan in the duality
of thinking we called normal
now a sketchbook discarded, stark
in the burning miracles
emerging, a conflagration
of thanks from my lips,
my pen, my hands, my eyes
as I spring, too, newly alive
with every breath of praise.

Inspired by: Abstract in Black & White, Experiment, Lone, Grateful.

Also by the five-minute meditation I have been doing.  Simply saying thank you for five minutes to each thing that emerges in my created reality.  It moves me to a new place of self-regulation, curiosity, wonder and an appreciation for the community and miracles who participate with me.
