Through The Layers

Nothing is as it seems.  This shopping list
is also a poem. The words glide colorful
butterflies. A rainbow in the rear view
mirror settles in a cove: turn around
though past magic cannot be found. Feelings
arise in our rooted instrument, fine-
tuned, we ground into our mother earth.  Truth
is, we’re songs: harmonics ringing in the
sun, this glorious light, our life bestowed
oblivious or wise, be humble. Give
the best you are and let your power thrum.

Inspired by: Cove, Bestow, Rear View Mirror, Glide and contributions from my 4-year-old grandson who also gave the prompts: butterfly, colorful, rainbow and the assertion that his shopping list for spaceship materials is also a poem.
