Framing Now

Now here’s the sun, a firm good morning kiss
right on my lips. I braved the cool breeze
in shadows under trees simply for this
flare of recognition brightening these

words. Beyond the crowd’s contentious bicker
lies, homeless, I long to give advice. Sighs
as focus shifts to some paid jester slick
and easy. Energy is mined precise

though no amounts can be revealed. Just click
this ad! We’ll fill the hole gaping from fright.
A green fly touches down and in a flick
the way opens like shafts of brilliant light.
