I’ll Play You A Song

It was such a small space in time
I never knew that I would find
A musical path for all to see
Anxiety into ecstasy~Danny Seraphine/David “Hawk” Wolinski

You can’t purchase this verve, my newfound nerve.
Watch me leap from the precipice, danger
imminent, illusory.  I reserve
my rights, embrace my wrongs. I’m no stranger

to change, and right now I’m aflame, the fizz
and froth of inspiration alchemy
—I’m snapping along with congas, a wiz—
receptive, creating reality.

Inspired by: Purchase, Verve, Froth and Imminent. And written while listening to Leonid and Friends (one of whom is Arturo Sandoval) absolutely rock this cover of Street Player.
